The Mandurah Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is a place where sick, injured, orphaned and displaced native animals are taken care of with the aim of returning them to their natural environment.
Working with our local vets, we provide care for birds, reptiles and marsupials 365 days a year.
We rely on volunteers to help us take care of our patients and educate the people of the Peel region in the care of our local wildlife.
Volunteering at the Mandurah Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is a rewarding and enriching experience that can be structured around your availability. You will learn about our unique fauna including what they eat, how they live and how to make your garden a haven for our native animals.
No experience is required to volunteer at the centre but you must be 16 years or older. Training is provided onsite after the initial induction session and you will be able to help with a variety of activities including caring for animals, food preparation, assisting with releases back into the wild, transport of injured animals to and from the vet’s, building and maintaining animal housing and more.
They encourage everyone in the Peel Region to join them in helping care for the native wildlife at Mandurah Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Together we can make a positive difference in protecting our local fauna. Sign up to volunteer today!
